Yes, it is early in the season, but still…
I fully understand that this
is only the end of the 2nd week of baseball… that being said, I’m
still angry.
How many times is Girardi
going to send Wang out to the mound to pitch 1+ innings? At some point you’ve got to realize that Wang hasn’t
worked his issues out yet.
Why not bring Phil Hughes up
to replace Wang for a start or two while Wang corrects his delivery? The main
thing with Wang is that his body is getting out in front of his arm and when a
sinker ball pitcher drags his arm through the delivery, the result is a sinker
that doesn’t sink. Its not a major issue, as a major leaguer, Wang should be
able to fix that rather quickly, but he hasn’t.
Anthony Claggett, poor guy,
was called up today. It’s unfortunate for him that he had to stay out there for
so long even though he was getting rocked. I can’t even imagine how this will affect
his psyche. I hate when young guys get
used like that… basically the way they treated Claggett tells me that they don’t
care about his development as a pitcher, they only care about getting someone
in to take some slack for the other guys on the pitching staff no matter who it
is or where he’s at in his development. It’s disheartening.
I don’t fully blame our
pitching staff either. Our outfielders made a few errors today. The hitters are leaving way too many people
on base. It seems like the only time we score is when we hit a homer. The
Yankees cannot survive on homers alone. The way the Yanks are playing right
now is so reminiscent of last year… No consistency!
I know you want to protect your
guys late in blow out games (rest and all that) Girardi, but when you take
everyone out, it just shows that you have no faith in your team and you’ve
given up… If I paid hundreds of dollars to go sit in a new park, you better try
everything you can to win and you dang sure better not give up in the 4th
inning!!!
I would not be surprised one
bit if Pavano came out and shut out the Yankees tomorrow. C.C. isn’t doing as great
as he could be, Wang is really bad, Joba is doing ok, A.J. is amazing, and Andy
is doing ok… In the pen, Mo and Bruney are the only guys I trust, and our hitters
still have yet to learn how to manufacture runs. Oh and don’t forget about Girardi,
the manager who just sits in the dug out ignoring the fact that his team is getting
their butts kicked…
Oh I guess a congratulations
is in order, Congrats Eric Wedge on your 500th win as the Indians’
manager.
FINAL WHISPER: This is crap something
needs to be done and it needs to be done quick or else I’m going to scream. Oh
and I like how the Yankees are now the laughing stock of the majors… deserve a
new stadium my —beep—-.

BRB
Yes… baseball is back, but unfortunately its the end of the semester at Wingate. I’ve got 2 research papers to write in the next 10 days so please excuse me while I get some school work done. I promise to have some friggin’ awesome blogs up ASAP!
FINAL WHISPER: I cannot wait for summer vacation!

OPENING DAY!!!!
Ahhh Yankees baseball is
officially back!
I want to wish everyone a
very happy opening day! I hope all of your teams win (unless of course you’re
an Orioles fan, in which case… LETS GO YANKEES).
Sadly I cannot watch the
game today. The softball team I coach has a double header today and it’s an
away game so I have to be on the bus at 3:00 p.m. sharp! This is going to be
the first opening day game I’ve missed since 1995. I’m totally bummed.
My man, Bill is going to be
at the game… which I’m totally jealous of. He’s promised to texted me game updates
during my softball game, but I don’t know if I should look or not. Maybe I
should just wait and watch the game when I get home, but it’s not the same… I’m
not going to be able to resist looking at the texts, but I’ll watch the game
when I get home regardless.
*** Text Message Alert: Bill says Camden
is “Yankee Stadium, south.” Apparently the Yankees are going to have plenty of
people cheering them on today!
So I decided that I’d put my
2009 predictions down for everyone to see and laugh at. (*) denotes wild card

BREAKING NEWS
Law and Order in Nebraska
Joba Chamberlain has delayed his hearing more times than I care to count, but finally plead guilty to the DUI charge he committed this past off season. Joba got 9 months probation, has to pay a $400.00 fine and will lose his license for 60 days. Big whoop… I mean I love Joba and I dont want him to be in legal trouble if he doesnt have to be, but DUI isnt something you should get way with that easily. I mean $400.00 is chump change to Joba; he doesnt have to drive so losing his license isnt that bad; and 9 months probation… he’ll be in season for all but 2 of the 9 months, so it seems pretty easy to me. I guess as a Yankees fan its a good sentence, now we can all move on… but as a person who lost an uncle due to drinking and driving this makes me a little ill and its nothing against Joba…
The Biggest News of the Day
As everyone knows C.C. Sabathia pitched today in his last spring training start. He pitched well today and exited in the fourth inning. When he came out of the game, everything seemed fine, but when the trainer was rubbing his shoulder down post-game it was discovered that CC Sabathia had some tightness and swelling in his shoulder. C.C. was rushed to get an MRI and it’s been said that C.C. has a torn labrum and will miss the entire 2009 season and part of the 2010 season.
FINAL WHISPER: APRIL FOOLS!
Now I hope I didn’t just jinks the Yankees and C.C. (knock on wood)

End of an Era
By now everyone knows I created a show on BlogTalkRadio.com called “A Show of Their Own.” My co-host Bernadette and I have been doing the show for a year now and sadly the show was cancelled.
Bern and I have been dealing with a lot of behind-the-scenes drama. Most people already know what went on just by listening to the show, reading our blogs, and some past guest even received emails, which I find really disappointing.
If you don’t know what went down, I guess I could say egos got in the way of the show. Even though people want to place blame on others, ultimately it comes down to our egos and the fact that we were unwilling to get past the drama.
I’m sorry to bring personal issues to a baseball blog, but I had to get this out in the open because I feel I’ve come out looking like the bad guy when I simply tried to remove myself from the situation (and just not get involved) since I was being placed in the middle of everything.
I had ties to both sides and it really saddens me that things turned out the way they did because I enjoyed the show and it was something I was very proud of. It was an ugly divorce to say the least. I guess this is business though and I need to get used to disappointment now rather than getting hurt worse later on.
FINAL WHISPER: I can honestly say two great things came out of all of this… 1. I have enough material to create an air check to send to actual stations when I graduate from college with my BS in Broadcast Journalism… and 2. Now that the show is over, I’ll have more time to dedicate to this blog!

I’ve got a problem…
http://www.xtranormal.com/players/jwplayer.swf
Just when I thought I could move on… this happens.
I’m seriously addicted to Xtranormal.com I wonder if there is a support group because I need help.
Alex is a blogger’s dream this off season. I don’t want him to be a circus clown, but if he does this to himself, why not take advantage of the story? Sounds harsh, but its true and Alex needs to realize that’s what bloggers and the conventional media members do… we run with stuff. If you don’t want to be a joke, don’t act like one.
I heard Circus by Britney Spears on the radio yesterday and I thought to myself, this is Alex’s song. Seriously, they are two peas in a pod.
I do believe that people want to love Alex, he’s just making it hard on us right now. I love Alex, I’m not afraid to say it. Do I like him as a person? No. As a baseball player, Yes and that’s all that really matters.
Madam or ex-madam Kristin Davis, who was also linked to Spitzer, has now come forward and said that Alex was one of her clients and she would supply him with hookers, prostitutes, call girls, or whatever they like to be called (I’m not up on the latest politically correct term for those chicks, so pardon me if I’m not pc).
I debated on if I wanted to put her name on my blog or not because I don’t want to give her any publicity in the event that she’s a big fat liar. But, I decided why not since its most likely true and its not like millions of people read my blog anyway.
Seriously though, I hope someone close to Alex will take him under their wing and set him straight because all these advisors he’s hired haven’t done a dang thing for him yet.
FINAL WHISPER: Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory is my new favorite show!
He’s so funny… I miss Big though.
Do Work Son!
